Megan Sigesumnd
VP, New Campaigns & External Affairs


Megan works directly with the nonprofit, foundation and federal government communities to identify new campaigns and external partnerships to help further the Ad Council’s mission of developing communications programs that help address the most pressing social issues of today. Recent new efforts include Sexual Harassment in partnership with David Schwimmer and RAINN, Suicide Prevention with Jed Foundation and AFSP, LGBT Nondiscrimination sponsored by Gill Foundation and Breast Cancer Prevention with Susan G. Komen.


Prior to her current role, Megan was responsible for overseeing the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of several fully integrated communications campaigns including Autism Speaks’ Autism Awareness campaign and USAID’s Natural Disaster Relief PSA initiatives. Her work includes Effie, Addy, and Obie award winning communications programs, as well as collaboration with global brands and media properties such as Facebook, Google, Upworthy, Viacom, Microsoft, DreamWorks and Walmart. She has been a featured speaker at conferences on behalf of groups such as the American Dental Association and Communications Network, a contributing writer for NTEN’s Change Journal and Change.org, and a creative judge for USAID’s PSAID student competition.


Megan is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Honors College where she earned a B.A. in Communication, and is currently an active member of the Hive Global Leaders Program.
