Barbara Leshinsky
Chief Revenue & Development Officer
With more than 30 years of development experience, Barbara oversees the Ad Council’s fundraising activities, board development, cultivation efforts, and its strategic consulting arm—the Ad Council Edge. Under her leadership, Barbara and her team annually secure more than $12 million in operating revenue to support the organization’s 30-plus public service campaigns.
Prior to joining the Ad Council, Barbara served as associate dean for institutional advancement at New York Law School. She also served as vice president for development and communications at the YMCA of Greater New York and assistant vice president of development at Fordham University. She began her career in college athletic administration.
A graduate of Queens College, Barbara currently serves on the Queens College President’s Advisory Board and the UJA Sports for Youth Committee, and she is a former President of Women in Development.
A born and bred New Yorker, Barbara currently lives on the Upper West Side with her wife, Lisa, and their daughter, Zoe.
